Love God, Love People, Change the World

In our ministry, we strive to value parents and families.

In fact, our vision is to come alongside of families and to help parents raise a generation that is sold out to living for God’s glory. To accomplish this goal, we use several methods to reach out to moms and dads. One way we do this is by holding parent seminars throughout the year. Either the Youth Director or well-known experts teach on various issues, including: sexuality, teenage culture, relationship building, and survival tips.

Another way we reach out to parents is through our Parent Meetings held twice a year. These meetings happen in January (lunch on Sunday), and August (Youth Kick-Off). During this time, parents meet with one another and our youth leaders to discuss upcoming events, teaching series, and any issues that need addressing within the student ministry.

Throughout the year, we also hold Family Nights that are designed for families to enjoy together. We provide the time and place for you to have a great memory with your kids. Such events include tubing, service projects, movie nights, concerts, and date nights.

A fourth way we reach out to families is through our monthly parent newsletter. This also provides tips in parenting, and gives the latest news on what’s going on in our student ministry as well as current and upcoming events.

We are always looking for new ways to support families; so if you have an idea that you want to see happen, e-mail the Director of Student and Family Ministries.

We also believe in the power of mentorship.

Our goal is to connect each student within our ministry to an adult mentor – someone who walks beside a youth, day by day, offering support and spiritual guidance. Each student going through Confirmation receives a mentor. All mentors receive training.
