The Red Cross Blood Drive, scheduled for Monday, April 6, is still on! The need for blood is great and by using caution and planning, the drive will be held at Wayne Street UMC as scheduled. Everyone will have their temperature taken before signing in and again before donating blood. The stations will be spaced further apart than usual and everything will be wiped down and sanitized after each donor.
Additional questions will be added to the registration process, pertaining to travel and contact with the virus. This will be classified as a controlled event – not a mass gathering.
You are encouraged to make an appointment by registering online or by calling 1-800-REDCROSS. This will ensure that too many people do not show up at the same time.
Please consider donating blood – you never know whose life you might save!
