CONGREGATIONAL CARE

As the body of Christ we are called to care for one another and to assure each person is spiritually strong and their basic needs are met. That’s why it takes all of us together to assure no one is overlooked. As you become aware of needs in the congregation or if you have needs of your own, please contact the church office or one of our pastors to discuss the assistance need and how to proceed.

Pastoral Care

As spiritual needs arise in your life’s journey, you may need someone to talk with, someone who can provide guidance along the way. Maybe you need special prayer before surgery or as you struggle with a particular life issue. Our pastors are available to meet with you to discuss your spiritual needs. Please contact one of them to arrange a time to meet.

Care Team

People with a passion for caring for others join together to help meet the needs of the congregation in several different ways:

Visit Home-bound – Nurtures and cares for the sick and home-bound members of the congregation

Home-Bound Communion – Delivers communion each month

Meals – Provides meals to families during periods of crisis or need

Funeral Dinner Team – Provides meals for the families following funerals

Prayer Teams

Prayer is an important part of our spiritual life as Christians and is an area in which everyone can serve, no matter their abilities. Our prayer ministry has several areas where you can serve:

Prayer Chain – Individuals are “on call” to pray when prayer requests are received for specific needs. Members pass the request along the chain.

Prayer Walk – Groups walk through a designated area of St. Marys every other month while praying for God to work in our schools, in the lives of those living in homes and apartments and in community businesses.

Acts 2 Fund

When financial difficulties arise, the church is here to provide short-term help.  Based on  Acts 2:44-45, the congregation has contributed to a fund to help those in need. If you have a need or are aware of someone in need, please contact our pastors. All discussion will be kept in strict confidence.
